The Gods of Olympus are Gonna Pay

Hi’ya gaming fans it is I Darth Chew with another mind blowing review and, what a review I have for ya. I’ve just finished kicking the God’s of mount Olympus’s asses and boy it was awesome. I know you’re all wondering what I am talking about. No worries I’ll tell you, I’m talking about the new installment of the God of War series God of War III for the PS3. And, let me say this, it kicks ass and it’s something I highly recommend anyone to pick up and give it a shot. 
But, before I go into my review let me warn you right here and now. I will not be letting the ending out of the proverbial bag. I know you might hate me and I’ll have to manage but that’s the truth I want you to go out and play the hell out of this game just like I did. Believe me it’ll be worth it. Now I give you the review of GOWIII.
The game begins where the last one left off you as Kratos climbing Gaia. Remember folks this is based on Greek Mythos here. Kratos is after revenge on Zeus as was explained in the previous installments. Now, real quick if you haven’t played the first two God of Wars I’d recommend you do so. So, go ahead I’ll wait till you catch up…done? Good now as I continue. Like I said before GOWIII picks up right where the second one left off. Now Kratos is climbing mount Olympus on top of Gaia as well as the other Titans as to assault the Gods. As they look down on the Titans coming up Hermes, Helios, Poseidon, and Hades mount a defensive, taking out a few of the Titans. Now, you must fight the Gods in order to exact your revenge on Zeus and win the game. But, this doesn’t happen right away as you see when you defeat the God Poseidon, Kratos and Gaia reach Zeus he knocks them off the mountain with a bolt of lighting. As Gaia is climbing back up Kratos slips and falls from the back of Gaia. Gaia states to Kratos that he has only been a pawn and that she will not help him with his revenge. Now, I won’t ruin the rest of the game just that you have to battle your way up from Hades and with the use of your newly acquired Blades of Exile (yeah, I know cool name), which were given to you by Athena.
Now the game play of GOWIII is similar to that of the previous installments of the series. The player controls Kratos (well duh) in a combination of combat, with puzzle elements. Kratos’s weapons as I said earlier are named the blades of Exile that were given to him by Athena. The blades are a few of several new weapons that kick ass and bring havoc to the monsters and creatures within the game. As, well as all the awesome carnage that is let loose when you kill and destroy the creatures and monsters. Now, unlike the previous games in the series, the use of magic is limited to the weapons that are equipped. A quick example is the Army of Sparta is available only when Kratos is equipped with the Blades of Exile. Each weapon has it’s own magical ability. And, playing the game will show you which weapons have which magical abilities, but for now I’ve said enough and shown enough. Now, it’s time for you to go out there grab this awesome game and play the hell out of it. And, believe me when I say that once you pop in the game into your system you are not going to want to stop till you’re done. This is Darth Chew signing off on another awesome kick ass review.
