Bikinis and Zombies
Bikinis and Zombies Enough Said
R. F. Cisneros
Hi game fans, Chewie here with another exciting game review. This month’s review is a game for the Xbox 360 called OneChanbara. And, let me tell you it is not too shabby. You actually control a zombie slaying, sword wielding, and bikini clad young hottie. And, when I say bikini clad I mean bikini clad. But before I get to that let me start with that the game plays well, the controls are responsive and there is a lot and I mean a lot blood to fly around. And, for you guys out there that can’t help but enjoy a girl in a thong and a sword yup that’s there as well. The game centers around a girl named Aya and she has a little sister named Saki and the game play runs in a tag team based system. Of course later on in the game you lose this ability but I’m not going to spoil it for you. I guess I just did well sorry about that, now moving on with the game play the controls are very smooth and very responsive. No lag on the moves that are executed when you press the various buttons for the controller. This is a third person perspective game so you are actually behind the character as you slice and dice your enemies. One of the interesting aspects is the gore meter which is represented by a sword on the left hand side of the screen. As you cut up zombies your sword gathers blood as shown by the gore meter. If you sword gets a bit too much blood then it becomes harder to wield and to cut the zombies, but of course it doesn’t end there. Once your character’s bloodlust is filled, she enters a “berserk” state (Rampage) where she will start to lose vitality slowly. As your character is in this berserk stage, her attacks will do increased damage and she will move at increased speeds. Now the only way to recover from a berserk stage (or rampage) is to use a statue head or pay a visit to a pre-set goddess statue. Now like I mentioned earlier OneChanbara plays fairly simply as you use the various action buttons to attack your enemies (zombies for the most part) and try to avoid taking damage. So this game does have a decent replay value depending on how much you enjoy seeing a girl run around in her bikini and swing a sword and kill zombies. Since I enjoy that kind of fan service then the replay value is sort of high in my book. So take my word for it either buy or rent this jewel of a game and have at it and I can actually guarantee you that you will like this game. This is all the time I have left for this month so on the lookout next month for another exciting review from me Chewie you’re ever knowledgeable game reviewer.
